I chose to donate to the Williamson County Area Beekeepers Association because they gave me so much, and I wanted to give back. Through this program I learned responsibility, respect for nature and bravery. I donated our groups collective $100 to the Ed Wolfe-Robert Bost Memorial Scholarship Program, which was established for kids who are interested in bees. In order to receive the scholarship you must write an essay about why you are interested in beekeeping. Scholarship winners are given hive equipment and a mentor to guide you through the beekeeping process. You must earn the hive through a year-long program and make a final presentation before the association. With the money I donated on behalf of Ten at a Time, I helped someone receive the same opportunity that I was given.
